Our Waiting List
New Leash on Life operates as a no-kill organization. Therefore, we accept pets (cats and dogs) by appointment only. Please note, we will only accept animals:
that appear healthy
are at least 8 weeks of age and weigh at least 2 pounds
are not older than 5 years
In addition, during your appointment, please allow time for the pet to be properly evaluated by our staff. We will determine the general health and temperament of your pet. Issues such as poor skin condition, hair loss, limping, missing teeth (indicating the animal is older than 5 years) or an apparent injury, will prevent us from accepting your animal.
Dogs older than 6 months of age will be tested for heartworm disease. We cannot accept heartwork positive dogs.
Cats older than 6 months of age will be tested for feline leukemia/aids, and cats under 6 months of age will be tested feline leukemia. We cannot accept feline leukemia/aids positive cats.
In order for your pet to be placed on our intake waiting list, we require the following information at the time your animal is placed on our incoming waiting list:

Phone # / Alternate #
Animal's Breed & Sex
